Enrique H. Ruiz

Enrique H. Ruiz is a career professional in the social service, education, and state corrections arenas. He has served as a Bilingual Education Teacher and an Independent Study Instructor at the high school level, as well as a counselor in substance abuse prevention and community violence reduction. He is also certified in a variety of programs such as Stephen Covey’s “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”, Gang Awareness, and Chemical Dependency Counseling.

Mr. Ruiz has a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University, California, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocational Education from California Polytechnic University. He has earned teaching credentials in Career Technical Education, Mexican-American Heritage, and Vocational Trades. Mr. Ruiz has a lengthy history of community advocacy and volunteerism, including work with adults in ESL, GED, and career development programs.
