CATHERINE FOURNEY

Teacher-Mentor

Catherine Forney is a Jasksonville, Arkansas, native who has dedicated her career to helping students, families, and veterans.  She has served as an Intervention Specialist with a professional counseling group and as a Veterans Treatment Court Probation Officer for Arkansas Community Corrections.  In the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District, Ms. Forney was a Security Officer and taught Criminal Justice classes.  She has a Special Education Teaching License and currently teaches Special Education.  
 
Ms. Forney earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology/Sociology at Arkansas State University, Jonesboro.  She has two Master’s Degrees to her credit:  one in Special Education K-12 from Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, and one in Criminal Justice from Walden University in Minneapolis MN.  Catherine also holds an ELA certification for grades 7-12.
 
During Catherine’s several years of teaching, she has coached softball and was honored to be named Jacksonville High School’s 2024-25 Teacher of the Year as well as the School District’s 2025 Teacher of the Year.
