ALN School Counselor
The Arkansas Learning Network Inc. is seeking a person with experience in school counseling. This position requires a current Arkansas counseling license; a Masters degree in Education or related field is preferred. Experience with high school and/or adult learners in a virtual venue is essential. The counselor will assist learners in overcoming educational, personal, and career-related challenges, helping them to achieve their goals and succeed in their academic endeavors. This role involves one-on-one counseling, group workshops, and close collaboration with teachers, staff, families and community partners to ensure a supportive and effective learning environment.
Critical skills include the ability to: analyze school transcripts and GED test scores accurately; Develop student course schedules; interact individually with students to maximize their academic performance and personal growth in an online platform; accurately collect, maintain and report confidential information. Experience with the Edgenuity curriculum and MindPlay Literacy Program online platforms, competency in digital functions such as Google Drive, Zoom, spreadsheets, etc. is required. The capacity to adjust effectively to change in a growing organization is essential. Previous participation in an accreditation process is a plus.
ALN Teacher-Mentor
This position requires a current Arkansas Teaching License, a Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate subject matter, and at least two years of virtual and/or live classroom teaching experience at the high school or adult levels.
