Carlton Coleman

Tech Support & Teacher-Mentor

Carlton Coleman has worked in the field of education for nearly two decades. He is presently a Mathematics Instructor in the TRIO VUB program at the University of Arkansas  Pulaski Technical College. He also worked in TRIO Programs at University of Arkansas Little Rock for Pre-College Outreach Programs as a Project Program Specialist. Mr. Coleman is skilled in the design and development of software and databases for higher education access services. Carlton has served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Arkansas Little Rock and as an Adjunct Instructor at Pulaski Technical College. At Baptist Health Medical Center, he had a broad spectrum of duties related to the evaluation and implementation of clinical and business systems.

Mr. Coleman has a PhD in Education from Azteca University – International Programmes inter-university program with Universidad Central Nicaragua. He earned a Master of Education in Learning Systems Technology and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His professional licenses include Job Coaching, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), Arkansas Teacher Licensure for 7-12 Mathematics through the Highly Qualified Professor track as well as numerous certifications in technology products and systems. Carlton has earned several awards and scholarships, with the most recent being from the Arkansas Department of Career Education. Mr. Coleman is an Arkansas native with an entrepreneurial attitude who brings a philosophy of lifelong learning to the ALN team.
